I love finding these around the Greater Toronto Area, but it isn’t the only area you can see them. Does anyone else know what they are? #WhatisitWednesday
It is great to point these out to children and have them find you some more when you are out for walks in the parks, or taking a hike along the escarpments. Another fun things for kids to look for is crinoids. As I researched local fossils, I became quite familiar with the look of them, but children love to find fossils, even the common ones. Crinoids are abundant and can be found on handheld sized rocks to take home and show to their friends. It keeps children engaged in the world around us. Hopefully, engaged in science and STEM.
